Weather in Suva Fiji
The City of Suva is located on the south-west coastline of Fiji's main island of Viti Levu. Its location means that it is prone to more rainfall at certain times of the year. This is due to the south-east trade winds with the Suva coastline being the windward side. Stats indicate that Suva receives a total annual rainfall about 20% more than Nadi in the west.
On the plus side, this means that the Suva side of Viti Levu is lush and rich with beautiful rainforest hinterlands. On the Nadi side of Viti Levu, the hills are less forested and the plains are used for the cultivation of sugar cane, which prefers a drier climate.

Mean Daily Minimum Air Temperatures range from around 20.5 deg C (around August) to around 24 deg C (around February). Annual Relative Humidity ranges from 78% to 83% (compared to 63% - 65% in Nadi).
